Repairing plaster on traditional wooden laths

Using the appropriate accelerators for our plasters, this was managed from start to finish all within a days work.

All wooden laths are cleaned out, checked for their integrity, re pinned and treated and sealed.

Traditional float and set methods are then used to ensure the work will withstand the test of time. You can see the repaired patches that have been done over time, though due to prolonged dampness, the original plaster rotted and lost its lamination.

Adding a dehumidifier then aids the drying speed. Never use heaters, as it will crack the plaster!

Over the years we have done many ceilings and walls in this way, opposed to just covering up with Gyproc boards.
